Bach in the Subways

On Thursday, March 21st  is Johann Sebastian Bach's birthday. For many years, Rosch Mirkes and INECC (Institut européen de Chant choral) have been organising the marvellous BITS (Bach in the Subways). This is inspired by the initiative of Dale Henderson who began in 2010 playing Bach's Cello Suites in the New York subways and the following years invited musicîans to join him. Over the following years, Bach in the Subways caught fire around the world, also in Luxembourg. I have participated since last year with violinist Sandrine Cantoreggi with the beautiful Sonata for violin and piano in E Major BWV  1016. This year, we will continue the cycle with the F Major Sonata BWV 1018. We will perform at the Eglise St. Michel (rue Sigefroi, Luxembourg) at 12:00.
